We were walking the halls of the old Civic center when I turned a corner and almost walked right into George and another player. Years later, I retold that story to a pilot I was stationed with at McChord AFB, WA, 1Lt Tony Lind. Tony was that other player. Tony and George were inseperable during the tourney he told me. Great story. Almost as great a story as playing basketball on a cul de sac on a 6' basket in Eastmont, WA as a middle schooler with a couple of high schoolers from Cascade High. Good times. A shoulder injury shorted the team's defensive lines even further than short numbers for the club. Markas Dahl slated a hat trick along with an outstanding all around effort. Nathan Younggren had a goal disallowed by a "high sticking" call which was questionable at best and ref Spivey waived off a blatant icing call which resulted in EGF's go-ahead goal in the third.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7749069508125628995.post-32000643478061157502010-02-06T11:34:58.720-06:002010-02-06T11:34:58.720-06:00Ivycreek:

He's stolen a few games this year for the Green Wave.

It's nice to see the Section 8A race going down to the wire. The # 1 seed has such a huge advantage when it comes down to scheduling, plus #1 seed gets the last change on all face offs which most of the time determines final scores.

The race for the #1 seed out of Section 8A is on.

Good luck to all the teams!

Timothy Oshie, PublisherOshie-Blogshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00750110173691459554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7749069508125628995.post-61128099339954186012010-02-06T11:02:15.370-06:002010-02-06T11:02:15.370-06:00As much as I hate to say it ...I think that the mo...As much as I hate to say it ...I think that the motivation coming from the first loss will make the Warriors fly fast and hard.
