East Grand Forks Senior High’s Adam Knopp scored in overtime to spoil the opening of Crookston’s new hockey facility.   Zack Lawdermilt had three goals and one assist, while Jake Useldinger had two goals and two assists to pace the Green Wave.

CROOKSTON — East Grand Forks Senior High’s Adam Knopp scored in overtime to spoil the opening of Crookston’s new hockey facility.  Zack Lawdermilt had three goals and one assist, while Jake Useldinger had two goals and two assists to pace the Green Wave.

“It showed the character of our team with a big comeback win,” Senior High coach Cory Chupka said.
“That’s a big win for us."

“The line of Lawdermilt, Useldinger and (Cory) Mack played well tonight,” Chupka said. “Lawdermilt had a great goal on a 2-on-1 to tie it (in the third period).”

The Green Wave, who trailed 5-3 in the third period, received goals by Useldinger at 6:44 of and Lawdermilt at 13:19 of the final period.

Morgan Terpstra had two goals to lead Crookston.
