Two losses were tagged on Thief River Falls during a weekend boys high school hockey trip to the Twin Cities area. The Blake School scored with one second left in overtime to edge the Prowlers 3-2 Friday night. They fell to St. Paul Johnson 6-3 the next afternoon.
Five games into the 2007-08 season, the Prowlers have just one win to their credit. Three of those four losses have come at the hands of state-ranked teams. Jesse Castle’s first period goal gave Thief River Falls a 1-0 lead against Blake. The Bears went ahead 2-0 in the second period, with the Prowlers’ Aaron Langan tying it at 3:59 of the third period.
