Defending Class "A" Champions Hold On To Defeat EGF, 3-2

Hermantown skated out to a 3-0 lead, despite the stellar play of East Grand Forks goaltender Alex Christiansen who made 44 saves in the contest, then held on to sneak past the Green Wave 3-2.

Adam Krause netted a goal and an assist for the Hawks while Mike Boese and Kurt Peterson each scored in the victorious effort. Ben Tessier got the win in goal with 28 saves. Christiansen was tagged with the loss, despite the 44 save effort. Jake Useidinger had a goal and an assist to go along with a John Grabanski goal for the Green Wave.
